Shoper, leader of SaaS online shops in Poland, has published its all-time best financial results. The record-breaking indicators were driven by the dynamic development of the product offer and the growing position of small and medium-sized companies on the Polish e-commerce market.

Shoper’s revenues in 2021 amounted to PLN 80.2 million and were 71% higher than in the previous year – the the best year ever for the e-commerce market. Sales on the Shoper platform (GMV) were similarly at record levels in 2021, amounting to PLN 5.8 billion for own shops (Stores) and PLN 6.4 billion for multi-channel sales (Omnichannel), i.e. in own shops and connected shopping platforms. This represents an increase of 44% and 46%, respectively, compared to 2020. Adjusted EBITDA in 2021 amounted to PLN 31.1 million and was as much as 50% higher than a year earlier. E-commerce products offered by the Company were one of the most popular choices for companies in the small and medium-sized enterprise segment. The portfolio of products provided within the Shoper platform includes, among others, software for online shops in the SaaS model, payments and online advertising, as well as logistics services.

“Shoper’s rapid growth in 2021 confirmed our effectiveness in acquiring customers and the high quality cooperation with them. In 2022, we will once again increase investments in the development of new products, including those supporting the growth of multi-channel sales, social commerce and financial services. We focus on accelerating the development of small and medium-sized enterprises on the e-commerce market,” says Paweł Rybak, Chief Commercial Officer at Shoper.

The year 2021 was historic for Shopera for many reasons. The company successfully debuted on the main floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, also made successful investments in the Shoplo and ErpBox platforms and almost doubled the number of e-commerce professionals working for the Company.

Despite the loosening of pandemic restrictions and easier access to stationary shops than in 2020, consumers remained committed to online shopping and were happy to choose it over visiting stationary shops. More online shops have also opened up. In November 2021 only, one thousand new e-commerce shops opened on the Shoper platform, which was a record monthly result. At the end of 2021, Shoper served 33,000 customers, of which almost 26,000 directly and over 7,000 in the private label model, delivering its services to business partners.

“Despite high market volatility, we look at 2022 with optimism and see many new development opportunities. The e-commerce market in Poland will continue to grow by double digits, competition among e-commerce solution providers will increase and shoppers will gain even more choice. We want the growth dynamics of customers using our platform to be once again much higher than the market” – adds Krzysztof Krawczyk, Chief Operating Officer at Shoper.
