An experienced manager will join the Shoper management board and take up the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role he will be responsible for sales strategy, business partnerships and support for the development of Shoper platform users.

Paweł Rybak is a long-time CEO and co-creator of the success of Sunrise System – a leading provider of Internet marketing services (SEO and SEM) for small and medium-sized companies in Central and Eastern Europe. As part of the international Bauer Media Group he was also responsible for managing the SEO business unit, bringing together 5 Polish SEO/SEM agencies (Artefakt, Grupa Tense, Semahead, Sunrise System, Widzialni.pl).

Paweł Rybak is a person associated with the Internet marketing industry from the beginning of its existence in Poland. Working in Sunrise System, for 16 years he developed the area of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on our market, passing through all levels of career, from trainee to the position of CEO and shareholder. He was responsible, among others, for establishing a strategic partnership with Google, being one of the first certified specialists in the CEE region, as well as for the sale of shares to a strategic investor – Bauer Media Group in 2013, with which he was subsequently associated as an expert, advising on numerous due diligence processes in the international arena. He has a broad education in economics, IT, finance, as well as an Executive MBA from Aalto University in Helsinki.

The e-commerce market in Poland is developing very dynamically, last year ended with the value of online shopping at around 83 billion PLN, and by 2026 it is expected to double to 162 billion PLN. The industry is positively influenced not only by the increasing value of the basket of people shopping online, but also by the rapidly growing percentage of the population using this form of transaction, which last year reached 73%.

Shoper S.A. benefits from these trends doubly. It not only increases the base of its customers to whom it offers a universal and versatile Shoper platform in the subscription model, but also grows with its existing customers thanks to additional services offered in the pay-as-you-grow model, correlated directly with the volume of turnover generated by their stores. In 2020, the value of GMV* generated by stores on the Shoper platform was PLN 4.0 billion. At the end of 2020, Shoper had over 20,000 users using the platform as part of its basic offering and additional services, including online marketing, online payments and logistics.
